What level should my cycling be at to compete in the Tour of Bright?
The Tour of Bright is a tough race. Two stages in one day including a road race and time trial to test your strength, speed and stamina, followed by a hard road stage to finish on Day 2. The two road stages feature major ascents, so make sure you have done plenty of climbing training in preparation for the race. The event is graded, so choose the grade that best suits your ability.

What grade should I enter and ride in?
How does the handicapper know which grade to put me in?
On the entry form it allows you to "request" a grade to ride in. Along with that you are asked to fill in recent results so the handicapper has an idea of your current form. If it is your first road race we recommend you enter C Grade.
JUNIORS:
Under 19's are eligible to enter the event.
Under 17's second year (2007 born) are eligible to enter the event.
Gear restrictions will no longer apply to juniors.
The Victorian Series Masters are graded. However, Masters 6+ will have their own aged based race.

Are there spares vehicles I can put my extra wheels in?
No, you need to ensure you carry your own spare tubes, pump and any tools.
What is the weather doing?
Prepare of anything and everything. In December we have had everything from 40 degrees in the valley some years to snow on Mount Buffalo other years. Bring a full clothing selection with you and decide what to wear on the day.
